Elephant Hills Thailand
Elephant Hills is a unique and unforgettable experience located in the heart of Thailand

Elephant Hills is a unique and unforgettable experience located in the heart of Thailand. Nestled in the rainforest, this eco-tourism camp combines luxury tents with the opportunity to get up close and personal with elephants. It has been voted by my family 'as the best thing we have ever done'. I should say that I have 2 teenagers who are not easy to impress, so that is high praise indeed!
Upon arrival, you'll be greeted with a welcome drink and a brief orientation about the camp and its mission to provide a natural home for elephants and to educate visitors about the importance of elephant conservation. You will learn so much, but in the most exciting way. Elephant hills is a sustainable eco resort, so you will be offered the use of a free aluminum reusable bottle when you arrive. Water is free and cold, you can top up anytime.
One of the highlights of Elephant Hills is the chance to meet the elephants in their natural environment. You will prepare their food and medicine and feed it to them.....don't be scared though - they are super gentle. The elephants all have their own personalities and its so fun to see. If they do not like a particular fruit, you will soon be made aware! You can touch and stroke the elephants, it is such a privilege.
In addition to spending time with the elephants, there are also a variety of other activities to participate in at Elephant Hills. These include visiting the nearby floating village, experiencing the national park, kayaking along the river, going on a jungle walk, and trying your hand at traditional Thai cooking.
At the end of the day, you'll retire to your luxury tent, complete with comfortable beds, electricity, and private bathrooms. The tents are spacious and offer stunning views of the rainforest. We got some of the best WIFI in Thailand in our tent, that was certainty unexpected. Mt teens' were were not happy about having to sleep in a tent, but they soon changed their tune when they arrived.
On the second day we went to the lake camp for the day. I don't want to spoil anything for you, but it was just incredible. We arrived by speedboat to an ideological camp bobbing on the lake. You can kayak, swim, play games or just sit back in wonder at the largest clearwater fish that you have ever seen. I am certain that anyone would love this.
Elephant Hills is an amazing and unique destination that offers the chance to get up close and personal with elephants while also supporting their conservation. I can highly recommend a visit here and if you are in Thailand, it is well worth your time to take 2-3 nights out to experience this exclusive delight.
