Thailand
Once famed for being a backpackers paradise, Thailand has come a long, long way and is now known as one of the most accessible and ‘easy’ places to visit in Southeast Asia. Perfect for families, couples, solo travellers and still the original backpackers, this gorgeous country exudes the exotic and is an eclectic mix of bustling cities, food that you will never forget, some of the best beaches in the world and lush, tropical jungles.
Bangkok, Chiang Mai & Khao Lak multi-centre
I highly recommend a multi-centre trip in Thailand. Don't even give the moving around a second thought. Properly planned this will be easiest holiday you will have ever experienced. It will give you a true flavor of Thailand and give you more information for your next visit! . For my family I chose a City, beach, jungle, beach combo. Our accommodation was nothing short of stunning all the way through. Please don't be afraid of taking your kids to Thailand...Thai people are wonderful with children and will do anything to help you.
This multi-centre offers a trip of a lifetime to explore all the diverse beauty of natural Thailand. Begin your adventure at the centrally located Century Park Hotel Bangkok. Visit the magnificent temples and wander amidst the bustling nightlife and markets at Patpong. After exploring the captivating city, head to Bush Camp in Chiang Mai – a unique tented resort surrounded by breathtaking landscapes of rainforest, rivers and features ethical elephant experiences. Spend two further nights in Chiang Mai, then complete your holiday with an idyllic stay at Apsara Beachfront Resort and Villa in beautiful Khao Lak. This contemporary beachfront resort offers stunning accommodation in low-rise buildings surrounded by flourishing gardens and a tropical lagoon.
Bangkok is the definition of a modern, Asian city. Sleek, sky-high buildings sit alongside authentic markets and busy streets whilst the smell of fresh street-food infuses the air. Whether you visit 18th Century Grand Palace, The Temple of the Dawn or take a sunset cruise on the Chao Phraya River, you will leave with an experience like no other. Find a much slower pace of life in Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai; Northern Thailand is overflowing with jungle covered mountains, green paddy fields and mystical temples.
Thailand serves up beach breaks in abundance, from Krabi to Khao Lak, Phuket to Pattaya. Popular Phuket offers beautiful beaches, sprawling resorts and a great feel-good vibe. It is also a gateway to some of the smaller, lesser known islands such as Ko Phi Phi, Ko Lanta and Koh Yao Noi. On the Gulf Coast Koh Samui is a diverse melting pot, home to luxury five-star resorts, an active nightlife and dining scene and many spa and wellness retreats. Hop on a boat over to Koh Phangan – the party goer’s paradise is recognised as one of the most magical islands in the Gulf of Thailand.
Although its known for its hedonistic pursuits and idyllic islands Thailand is a great place to experience wildlife in its natural habitat. Although elephant experiences have been historically popular throughout Thailand, its so important to ensure that whatever activity you engage in benefits the animals. Head to Chiang Mai and get to know these majestic creatures with an ethical tour or charity that works towards the well-being of elephants. Other wildlife spots include sun bears, monkeys, wild oxen, leopards and in the ocean sea turtles, pink dolphins and so much tropical marine life.
Elephant Hills is a unique resort offering luxury adventure tours in and around the stunningly beautiful Khao Sok National Park in southern Thailand. The highlight is a unique Elephant Experience, offering interaction experiences, an incredible and memorable offering. Accommodation is housed in two camps both situated in Khao Sok, part of Southern Thailand’s largest stretch of primary rainforest boasting unique stays with breathtaking backdrops. I have not stopped thinking about the experience I had here a few months back. It was quite literally - PERFECT! Please have a chat with me if you have any questions about this experience, I have sent 18 people since I have come back and I have not heard one negative comment.
