Las Vegas
When you think of glitz and glamour, bright lights and entertainment, Las Vegas is usually there in the mind’s eye. The 'Entertainment Capital of the World', is one of the fastest-growing cities in North America, fuelled by an ever-expanding entertainment scene that attracts more and more visitors each year. At the heart of the action and home to the biggest and showiest hotels is the famous Las Vegas Boulevard, or the ‘Strip’. But step away from the Strip and you’ll find sweeping plains, fascinating landscapes and national parks. This glittering jewel in the Nevada desert is, quite simply, amazing.
World-renowned for its casinos and gambling, Las Vegas is the perfect place if you fancy a flutter. With more than 76 casinos set deep inside the labyrinth of magnificent hotels which stretch up and down the famous Strip, visitors are spoilt for choice. The themed hotels – which are more like vast resorts than simple hotels – are worth a wander to take in the spectacular décor and fabulous restaurants, shops and bars. The Venetian Resort has its very own indoor waterway complete with gondolas and a replica of Venice’s famous Rialto Bridge. If your customers need a break from the hustle and bustle of the Strip then suggest they head pool side to cool down and sip a cocktail, or try one of the many golf courses on offer.
For sheer spectacle and entertainment Las Vegas is hard to beat. It is the city that never sleeps – where fantasy combines with live entertainment and big star performances, fine dining from around the world and of course, the thrill of its legendary casinos. At every turn, there’s something magical, surreal or just downright jaw-dropping, whether it’s the pyramids of Egypt, the Eiffel Tower, erupting volcanoes or nostalgic Americana. At night, the city is illuminated and the air crackles with a unique excitement and exhilaration. With more than 100 different shows a day to see, visitors will never be short of spectacular entertainment. The most popular are the big-budget productions at the larger venues such as Caesars Palace and Bellagio – this is a city of dreams, drawing legendary names for unforgettable performances.
How about enjoying luxurious transport before boarding a state-of-the-art helicopter and flying over legendary Las Vegas landmarks? The space beam of the Luxor pyramid; the New York-New York skyline, the fountains of Bellagio; and the clock tower in St. Mark’s Square of the Venetian. As they reach the end of the Strip and continue past the Stratosphere to historic Downtown Las Vegas, they’ll see the still thriving decades-old casinos where Las Vegas all started.
