Bali
Bali, an island blessed with exquisite beaches, buzzing surf hubs and rich heritage evokes thoughts of paradise where almost everything has a deep spiritual meaning. There’s so much to enjoy from hillside temples shrouded in mystery to golden beaches and endless days of sunshine.
The essence of Bali
If you’re in search of endless blue skies, golden sands as far as the eye can see, with some rainforests and volcanoes thrown in for good measure, look no further than Bali. Whilst the lush interior of the island is without doubt its heart, most are pulled to Bali because of its breezy beaches and laid-back vibe. Sanur and Nusa Dua are the quieter resorts favouring the sounds of the shore and the wind in the trees. For those wanting something livelier, Kuta is the place to be, with bustling beach bars, while Seminyak offers a heavenly balance with pristine beaches, surf schools and an excellent food scene.
The beautiful island of Bali is as majestic as it is magical and all of that is captured in Ubud – it’s cultural heart centre. Head inland to experience the spirit of Bali; the temples and authentic Balinese culture, such as traditional dancing or enjoy the local markets that sell locally made items unique to the area. Slick, sharp and diverse,
Due to Bali’s location it has a global palette, from traditional cuisine to contemporary fusion you will find some of the world’s finest food in Bali. The city of Denpasar is known for having some of the best Asian fusion restaurants and in particular some of the best sushi in Southeast Asia. For something more traditional visit a warung, a small wooden shack (often family run) on the side of the road, many of them serve up authentic Indonesian classics.
